Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association Shines at the NOVA Banquet: Big Wins, Big Grins!

Hey there, Seminole Holland neighbors! The Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association Board attended the Neighborhood Organization Volunteer Awards (NOVA) Banquet on December 4, 2023. SHNA took the spotlight, and oh boy, did we shine!

Stellar Stars: David Siewert and Messiah Lutheran Church

Guess what? Our very own David Siewert and the incredible Messiah Lutheran Church bagged a 2023 NOVA trophy! Board President Bruce Adib-Yazdi spilled the beans, saying, "In the heart of Seminole Holland, David and Messiah Lutheran Church are the ultimate community champions!" David's leadership injected life into our Neighborhood Association, fostering unity and empowerment. And Messiah Lutheran? They're not just a church; they're our backbone! From hosting cleanups to Trunk or Treat, and a playground for our kiddos — these guys are the definition of neighborhood spirit! Let's give it up for them!

Cash Splash: $500 Great Neighborhoods Grant!

Cha-ching! Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association got a whopping $500 Great Neighborhoods grant for our activities and accomplishments in 2022 and 2023! Talk about making it rain for our neighborhood.

Bass Pro Cheering Challenge: We're the Pick of the Pickle Patch!

Hold on to your hats, folks! We not only participated but scored big at the 2023 Bass Pro Cheering Challenge. Over ten of our neighborhood superheroes brought their A-game to form the Dancing Pickles, and guess what? We raked in a jaw-dropping $650! That's right; we're not just cheering; we're cashing in on it! Event chair William Cooper sends a massive thank you for the priceless time and energy of all the volunteers. And hey, recruiting/auditioning for more SHNA Dancing Pickles in 2024 has already kicked off!

Seminole Holland, you're not just a neighborhood; you're a great place to live! Keep the spirit alive, keep shining, and let's make 2024 even more legendary!
