This cleanup event for Registered Neighborhood Associations is city funded and coordinated by Community Partnership of the Ozarks. Neighborhoods are required to provide event volunteers to participate in the program. More volunteers are needed to assure our eligibility for future cleanups. Your help is needed.
This is your chance to declutter your home and yard, dispose of unwanted items, and work together to beautify our community. Whether it's tree limbs, bags of leaves, or that pile of "stuff" that's been collecting dust in your garage, now is the perfect time to clear it out—completely free of charge!
This event is made possible by the City of Springfield and organized through the Community Partnership of the Ozarks. This year, we’re teaming up with the Meador Park Neighborhood to make an even bigger impact.
But here’s the deal: We Need Your Help!
A successful clean-up doesn’t happen without people willing to lend a hand. We need volunteers to:
This is more than just a clean-up—it’s a chance to meet new neighbors, plan future events, and help secure future city-sponsored opportunities for our neighborhood.
Without enough helping hands, we risk losing the opportunity to host future clean-ups—and we could even become ineligible for other city-sponsored events and funding that improve our neighborhood.
If you can commit a few hours, please let us know:
Every volunteer makes a difference! Drop us a message or reach out today to get involved. You can use the Contact Us form on the website or email SeminoleHolland@gmail.com. Together, we can make our neighborhood a cleaner, better place to live!

Now is your chance!
The Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association Board of Directors has three open positions, and we need passionate, dedicated neighbors like you to step up and help lead.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a voice for growth and positive change right here in Seminole Holland. Whether you’ve lived here for years or recently joined our neighborhood, your unique perspective is invaluable. You can nominate yourself, or if you know someone who would be a great fit, encourage them to get involved.
Why Join the Board?
As a Board member, you’ll help shape the future of our neighborhood by managing the association’s business and spearheading efforts that strengthen our neighborhood. The time commitment is minimal—typically just three hours per month—with more involvement during special events. The real reward, though, is knowing that your efforts are helping to make Seminole Holland a better place to live.
Be Part of the Solution
The Board of Directors isn’t just about meetings; it’s about being an active voice for the neighborhood, driving growth, and fostering positive change. This is your chance to take a leadership role, build connections with your neighbors, and create a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone.
Election Details
Elections will be held online in late October, so now is the perfect time to put your name in the running. Don’t wait—make your mark on our neighborhood!
Ready to get involved?
Nominate yourself or someone you know by emailing SeminoleHolland@gmail.com or contacting William Cooper at 816-289-6485 (call or text). Be sure to include your contact information.
Let’s work together to ensure Seminole Holland continues to thrive!
This is a major fundraiser for our neighborhood association and helped us fund the Summer Bash in June.
We are required to have at least ten participants for a cheering section and at least four people must be present at all times. The location will be determined once there is a final count of all the neighborhoods participating. We have requested to be at the same location as last year at the intersection of South Jefferson Avenue & East McGee Street.
*** Second Year for the Dancing Pickles ***
We have a strong theme – signage, Dancing Pickle costumes, a beverage option, and so forth - to help runners identify us and give us a better opportunity to win a cash prize for the neighborhood association.
We will have shifts each two hours long and you can volunteer for one or more shifts. Even if you can only work part of a shift we can use your help.
To sign up, visit our volunteer opportunities page, call 816-289-6485, or email SeminoleHolland@gmail.com.

Let's take a look at what this dynamic group has been up to: They kicked things off in April with a joint neighborhood cleanup that had everyone rolling up their sleeves to make their community shine. Not content with just one event, they followed up with a litter pickup at the McDaniel Moore Park, showing their commitment to keeping their green spaces clean and beautiful. And they didn't stop there! In May another litter pickup at McDaniel Moore Park showed their dedication to keeping the momentum going. Plus, they hosted a potluck along with valuable BDS (Building Development Services) information, proving they know how to mix fun with important community updates. As summer heated up in June, they threw a Summer Bash at McDaniel Moore Park, ensuring that everyone had a blast under the sun.
And guess what? The Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association wants to hear from YOU! If you've got ideas for activities or events, don't hesitate to reach out to the Board at SeminoleHolland@gmail.com or attend one of their exciting Board meetings, always open to the public. Get involved, get excited, say hi to a neighbor, and let's keep the energy going in Seminole Holland! 🌟✨
If you can help, meet up at the corner of S Kings Ave and E Broadmoor. Send us an email at SeminoleHolland@gmail.com to let us know you are coming. Bring gloves and wear sturdy shoes.
So far, over 30 bags of trash and three abandoned shopping carts have been collected in the park.
Won't you lend a hand to help us reach our goal to collect at least 15 more bags of litter?
We estimate we need help for an hour at 9 am for setup.
With many hands, cleanup should be finished in about an hour after the event ends at 2 pm.
Every volunteer is appreciated!

Hold onto your hats, Seminole Holland! The stats are rolling in. The neighborhood cleanup event on April 6, 2024, was an ABSOLUTE BLAST, and we're still buzzing with excitement!
Picture this: Over 150 households, YES, you read that right, 150 households, came together to make our community SHINE! From beginning to end, it was a whirlwind of energy, passion, and ACTION!
But wait, it gets even better! We're talking about a whopping 200 loads of household items, limbs, leaves, scrap metal, and electronics collected. Can you believe it? That's the POWER of unity and community spirit in action!
But none of this would've been possible without our INCREDIBLE volunteers. Let's give them a round of applause, folks! They were the real MVPs, working tirelessly to direct traffic, lend a helping hand, and unload stuff with smiles on their faces. A HUGE THANK YOU to each and every one of you!
And let's not forget to tip our hats to the masterminds behind the scenes. That's right, the Community Partnership of the Ozarks and the City of Springfield, you ROCK! Your vision, dedication, and support made this event a reality, and we couldn't be more grateful!
So, Seminole Holland, pat yourselves on the back because YOU made it happen. Together, we proved that when we come together, there's NOTHING we can't achieve. Until next time, keep shining bright, keep spreading kindness, and keep making our community the BEST it can be! ✨🙌💚
