Exciting things are happening at McDaniel Park, and we need your voice to make it even better!

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board is working on a proposal to bring a pump track to the park. But that’s not all—future plans include a new entrance from National, a new parking lot, a pavilion, and restrooms to make McDaniel Park a vibrant, accessible destination for everyone.

What’s a pump track, you ask? It’s a thrilling, continuous looped track designed for bicycles, skateboards, scooters, and other wheeled sports. Made with dirt, asphalt, or concrete, a pump track is packed with rollers, banked turns, and features that let riders gain momentum by “pumping” their bodies instead of pedaling. It’s fun, safe, and perfect for riders of all ages and skill levels to build skills, stay fit, and enjoy outdoor recreation.

The Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association Board has been advocating for improvements to our neighborhood and McDaniel Park. Does this sound like the type of park development you can get behind? The Association Board would love to hear from you!

Thank you for helping us shape the future of our neighborhood!

Thank You to Our Dancing Pickles for Making the 2024 Bass Pro Cheering Challenge a Success!

We want to extend a huge *thank you* to everyone who helped make the 2024 Bass Pro Cheering Challenge a memorable event!

Despite the rain on that Sunday morning, 12 incredible volunteers from the Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association, known as the Dancing Pickles, brought their enthusiasm and community spirit to cheer on participants and represent our neighborhood with pride.

Your dedication means the world to us. Because of your commitment, we’re one step closer to earning grant funds that could make a tremendous impact in our neighborhood. We’ll find out about the grant awards at the annual Neighborhood Awards Banquet this December, and no matter the outcome, we know the heart and hard work of this team already make us winners.

To each of you who volunteered, braved the rain, and cheered with passion—*thank you*. Your support truly strengthens our neighborhood, and we’re incredibly grateful for all you do!
