Results of Focus Question

A question about the focus of the organization was included at the bottom of the election ballot. The results are as follows:

Zoning Issues 29%
Assisting Neighbors 21%
Property Maintenance 14%
Crime/Crime Prevention 14%
Communication with City 11%
Public Property 7%
Neighborhood Social 4%

The Board plans to use these results to guide their efforts throughout 2023.

Notice of Board Meeting - November 20, 2022

The newly elected Board of the Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association will meet at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at McAlister's Deli, 210 West Sunshine, Suite A.

In accordance with the bylaws, the Board will now organize by designating a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Parties that wish to observe or address the Board are welcome to attend.

Election Results

On Saturday, November 12, 2022, members of the Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association approved bylaws and a slate of board members.

SHNA Bylaws Approved November 12 2022

Elected to the Board of Directors were:

  • Shana Boyle, East Sunshine St
  • William Cooper, South Virginia Ave
  • Amy Shelburn-Zarins, South Virginia Ave
  • David Siewert, representing Messiah Lutheran Church
  • Willa Williams, South Kings Ave

In accordance with the bylaws, the Board will now organize by designating a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Reminder of Meeting and Election

The first official meeting/event of the Seminole Holland Neighborhood Association will occur during the Lantern Walk on Saturday, November 12, beginning at 4:15 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church, 925 E Seminole St. Members will be casting paper ballots to adopt the proposed bylaws and elect Board members. A link to the proposed bylaws is posted at the bottom of the page at www.seminoleholland.com/p/about.html. If you aren't participating in the Lantern Walk event you do not have to stay because we will not be having a traditional "meeting". We will have printed ballots. Notice of the proposed bylaws and election was posted on October 12, 2022.
